Through extensive consultation that engaged over 20,000 residents and stakeholders – the largest community engagement in the municipality’s history – we learned that Haligonians want their city’s brand to be authentic, dynamic, friendly, optimistic and bold. Armed with this knowledge, Revolve put our Brand DNA process to work to distill and capture the spirit of what Halifax is and what it aspires to be.
We’re thrilled to have led the most important and thorough branding project ever undertaken in our region. The new Halifax logo and brand identity was designed for use in many creative ways, and the Brand Promise, Be Bold, is a rallying cry that gives everyone permission to make Halifax the best it can be. Because brand isn’t about what you say, it’s about what you do.
Halifax Solid Waste
When Halifax Regional Council approved sweeping changes to the way waste would be collected and sorted, Revolve collaborated with Halifax Corporate Communications and the Solid Waste division to develop a comprehensive communication strategy. As well as informing Haligonians of the changes, our strategy celebrated their positive environmental and financial impact on our city.
Revolve developed new advertising creative for sorting guides and pick up calendars, changes to the curb messages, curbside pickups, grass cycling, public notices, holiday collection changes, and any other notifications for residents. Revolve developed student campaigns and facilitated the development of the HFX Recycles mobile app which has gotten thousands of downloads and unanimous praise.
We also developed a comprehensive media plan that delivered over 100,000,000 impressions and substantially better rates. Compliance numbers far exceeded expectations and the tonnage being transported to landfills decreased by 24%. Recycling volumes are also up?by?15%.
